House and techno producer Çağatay Can’s musical style is inspired by the mysticism of the ancient places and characterised by authentic and organic sounds found in nature. His first encounter with music was with his father’s old vinyl records, which ultimately led him to play the guitar at a very early age. He continued his musical journey with numerous rock and metal bands but eventually found his calling in soulful electronic music. As evident from his first known single “Can’t Breathe”, which was written after a particularly difficult and emotional chapter in his life, his music is deeply emotive and very much shaped by his personal experiences.
His remix of Saiful Idris’ “Memories”, itself a story of loss and heartbreak, is a stunner, offering a brooding and beautifully melancholic interpretation of the theme.
